Since 2002, the Institute for Social Research has organized in cooperation with Suhrkamp Verlag annual lectures commemorating Theodor W. Adorno that are held on three successive evenings. The purpose of the lectures is expressly not to provide interpretations of his writings, but rather to reveal the vital traces of his interdisciplinary work in philosophy, literary studies, aesthetics, and the social sciences, and in this way to promote his influence on contemporary theory formation in the human sciences.
