Degree and doctorate in political science at Freie Universität Berlin. Research assistant and lecturer at the Institute for Social Research, the European Academy of Labour at Goethe University Frankfurt, the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and Johannes Kepler University Linz, as well as Fellow in the DFG-funded research group »Postwachstumsgesellschaften« at the University of Jena. Since 2015 Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology and Social Geography at the University of Salzburg. Founding member of the Labour Geography working group of the German Geographical Society and spokesperson of the working group Work – Society – Nature of the Institute for Social Research (together with Carolin Mauritz). Member of the Assoziation für kritische Gesellschaftsforschung and elected member of the scientific advisory board of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, the Mattersburger Kreis für Entwicklungspolitik and the board of trustees of the International Conference of Labour and Social History.
