Biography

Daniel Loick is Associate Professor of Political and Social Philosophy at the University of Amsterdam. After receiving his PhD in 2010 from Goethe University Frankfurt, he has taught and conducted research at various institutions in Germany, Switzerland, and the United States, including Harvard University, the New School for Social Research, and the Center for Humanities and Social Change in Berlin. Loick directs the research project “Abolition Democracies – Transnational Perspectives” funded by the Gerda Henkel Foundation, is a member of the advisory board of the International Consortium of Critical Theory Programs, co-editor of the book series Philosophie und Kritik, and a member of the selection committee of the exchange platform “Kritische Theorie pluralisieren.”
