Ana Cárdenas Tomažič

Diplom-Soziologin (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile), M. A. in European Political Studies (Universität Heidelberg) und Dr. phil. (Freie Universität Berlin). Nach ihrer Promotion war sie in Chile Assistant Professor am Institut für Soziologie der Universidad Diego Portales sowie Leiterin verschiedener Forschungsprojekte internationaler Organisationen und Stiftungen (ILO, UNDP, GIZ und Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung). In Deutschland hat sie am Institut für Sozialforschung München (ISF München), am Süddeutschen Institut für empirische Sozialforschung (SINE-Institut) und den Instituten für Soziologie der Universität Kassel und der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München geforscht. Zugleich hat sie an beiden Instituten sowie an der Hochschule München und am Fachbereich Gesellschaftswissenschaften, Goethe-Universität Frankfurt a. M. gelehrt. Sie ist Alumna des DAAD und der Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung und war visiting scholar am Deutschen Jugendinstitut (DJI), ISF München und der New School for Social Research. Außerdem ist sie Mitgründerin und Mitglied der Arbeitsgruppe »Nachhaltige Arbeit – Die sozial-ökologische Transformation der Arbeitsgesellschaft«, DKN in Future Earth (2017-2018) sowie von drei Arbeitsgruppen des Lateinamerikanischen Rats der Sozialwissenschaften (CLACSO, Argentinien) zu »Kritisches Denken und Emanzipatorische Praktiken«, wo sie seit 2016 jeweils eine Forschungslinie ko-koordiniert hat bzw. aktuell eine Forschungslinie bis 2025 ko-koordiniert. Seit September 2022 ist sie Professorin und Mitglied des wissenschaftlichen Beirats des internationalen Postdoc-Programms von Unitierra (Manizales, Kolumbien). Zudem ist sie Mitglied der zwei neuen CLACSO-Kommissionen zu Gewalt in akademischen Kontexten (seit Mai 2023) sowie gewähltes Mitglied des DGS-Ausschuss »Soziologie als Beruf« (seit Oktober 2023).
